The Franco American Cultural Fund (FACF) is a partnership between the Directors
Guild of America (DGA), the Motion Picture Association (MPA), France’s
Society of Authors, Composers and Publishers of Music (SACEM), the Writers
Guild of America, west (WGAw). It is designed to promote creation and dialogue
between the filmmaking communities of France and America, encourage young
talents and teach cinema.

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) represents 13,000 directors
and members of the directorial team both in the United States
and abroad. DGA members' creative work is represented in feature
film, filmed/taped/and live television, commercials, documentaries,
and news. DGA seeks to both protect and advance directors' economic
and artistic rights and preserve their creative freedom.

The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) and its international counterpart,
the Motion Picture Association (MPA), represent the seven largest producers

industries worldwide.

SACEM (la Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Editeurs
de Musique) is the French collecting agency for music, film and literary
rights for authors,
composers, publishers of music and directors. Its jurisdiction covers France,
DOM- TOM and some French speaking African countries. It administers the catalog
of its 100 000 members as well as the worldwide music catalog through its reciprocal
agreements with authors societies all over the world.

The Writers Guild of America, west (WGAw) represent writers
in the motion picture, broadcast, cable, and new media industries
in both entertainment and news. The union conducts numerous programs,
seminars, and events throughout the world on issues of interest
to, and on behalf of, writers.

Founded in 1987 by Claude Berri, l'ARP (Auteurs,
Réalisateurs, Producteurs)
is a registered company representing members who are at once writers, directors
and producers. ARP's main objective is to defend its 180 members moral and
economic rights. It is involved in various
institutions in Europe, organizes cultural
events in France and abroad and promotes the information of public through
its
two theaters in Paris, Le Cinéma des Cinéastes, and
Le Studio
des Ursulines.

The Film & TV Department of the French Embassy in Los Angeles
is the local representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs'
Film Department. Its purpose is to promote and support the French
film and television industries on the West Coast.

Unifrance is the French film professional association dedicated
to promoting French Films and artists throughout the world.
All year long, Unifrance organizes
several events and offers services in support of French producers and sales
companies as well as foreign film distributors all around the
globe. In addition to the
main office in Paris, Unifrance has three branche offices abroad: United-States,
Japan and Germany.
