Adapted from Philippe Grimberts best selling novel, A Secret is a story of passion and guilt in troubled times, which unfolds as a young teenager uncovers the truth about his parents past. He finds out that before the war, his father Maxime (Patrick Bruel, The Comedy of Power, O Jerusalem) was married to Hannah (Ludivine Sagnier, 8 Women, A Girl Cut in Two, Love Songs) when he fell madly in love with his mother Tania (Cécile de France (The Russian Dolls, Avenue Montaigne, (COLCOA 2006)). As a young Jewish couple living in Nazi-occupied France, Maxime and Tania had to make difficult choices to survive the war and the Holocaust.
CLAUDE MILLER
Claude Miller started his career working with some of the greatest film makers: Marcel Carné, Jean-Luc Godard, François Truffaut. He co-wrote and directed his first feature film in 1976, the critically-acclaimed The Best Way to Walk, starring a stellar Patrick Dewaere. With his popular film noir Under Suspicion (1981) and two award-winning films starring Charlotte Gainsbourg, Charlotte and Lulu (1985) and The Little Thief (1988) based on an unfinished Truffaut script, he established himself as one of Frances lead writer/directors. Recent works include Little Lili (2003), Alias Betty (COLCOA 2002), La classe de neige (1998).
